Nadia has over 20 years’ experience working in early-stage life science companies, particularly those focused on women’s health and reproductive biology.  Following a PhD in early embryo biochemistry (University of York), she worked as a researcher in reproductive medicine (University of Leeds). During this tenure, her research focused on the immunological mechanism of infertility, as well as various obstetric and paediatric conditions.

Nadia’s aspiration to translate research into tangible solutions led to her appointment in senior positions for several university spin-out companies focused on human IVF technologies, pregnancy-related disorders, and artificial reproduction in animals.

She went on to co-fund a company to exploit her intellectual property where, as CEO, she led multifaceted operations, initiated new project initiatives, and defined and delivered the business plan through successfully fundraising £6m from VCs and £2.5m in non-dilutive grant funding.

Nadia remains focused on bridging the gap between academia and industry. Through her current roles as Venture Manager at the University of Leeds and Director of Think Around Consultancy she continues to drive innovation and remains focused on impacting the landscape of reproductive biology and women’s health.
